Interface: The Journal of Education, Community, and Values
Call for Submissions:
Interface is an open-access journal featuring both peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed articles, published by the Berglund Center for Internet Studies at Pacific University. It has been published since 2001, and has produced hundreds of articles on the impact of the Internet, with a strong commitment to providing articles for both scholarly and popular audiences.
The Berglund Center for Internet Studies at Pacific University facilitates theoretical discussion and practical action relating to the impact of the Internet upon individuals and their communities worldwide. We study the effects of the Internet on the ways we work, communicate, teach, and learn. The audience for our electronic Journal is a very broad one; our readers include students, individuals, and all those interested in the impact of the Internet.
We are interested in articles dealing with the Internet’s effect on areas, including (but not limited to): economics, business, politics, education, literature, philosophy, health care, and international conflict.
In the spirit of reaching a broad audience, Interface has two different submission tracks: first, a process designed for articles by professionals that will undergo peer review; and second, articles for authors seeking publication without peer review, aimed at a more general audience.
Articles intended for peer review: Articles will undergo a rigorous double blind review process, with two scholarly reviewers per article. This option is available to professors and professionals, who wish to have the assurance of a rigorous academic process. All articles that undergo peer review will be clearly labeled as such.
Non peer reviewed articles: All non peer reviewed articles accepted for publication will be paid $100. These will be clearly marked as not having undergone peer review.
One Aspect that differentiates Interface from other eJournals is the application of our Authority System, which is designed to promote a broader understanding of academic standards, while informing readers of the quality of articles. http://bcis.pacificu.edu/interface/?page_id=108
