Elizabeth C. Arch <archec@pacificu.edu>

Elizabeth C. Arch is an associate professor in the College of Education at Pacific University. She has an A.B. degree in Biology from Stanford, a MAT from The University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.  Her eaching and research focus on the nature of understanding, the added value of technology in education, and issues of equity for the disadvantaged.

Dave Boersema <boersema@pacificu.edu>

When he hasn't been in his hammock smoking cigars, Dave has been focusing his work lately on issues in pragmatism, philosophy of language, and human rights.  He has recently published several articles on the American pragmatist philosopher Charles Peirce as well as several articles on rights.  He is now completing work on an upcoming book on "Pragmatism and Reference."  Suffering the sins of being a quasi-administrator, he continues to chair Pacific's Philosophy Department as well as the Peace and Conflict Studies program.

Lenny Charnoff <Lenny@learningtips4u.com>

  Lenny Charnoff has been enthusiastically promoting the possibilities of the Internet since 1993.

Charnoff has consulted to many organizations helping frame Net applications to their specific purposes, including Lee Hecht Harrison, Pacific Crest Securities, Waggener Edstrom and LERN. He is a speaker in much demand by professional and trade organizations, offering keynote presentations as well as specific day seminars.  

Recent seminars saw Charnoff introducing the potential of the Internet to the American Bankers Association, the American Society Of Association Executives, Oregon Department of Employment, Oregon Restaurant Association and most recently at the Promotional Products Expo and the National Rural Water Association.

Charnoff was selected by Microsoft Corporation as one of four Internet entrepreneurs to be featured in the television series "America At Work: Road Map To The Internet".  

Lenny publishes a series of video tapes, CD's and web sites specializing in Internet literacy,  e-mail promotions and Internet searching.  Before starting his own business, Charnoff worked in marketing and sales at Apple Computer, Inc.  As a transplanted New Yorker, Lenny enjoys non-work hours on a small ranch near Portland, Oregon  where he raises alpacas and horses

Luis Rodriguez <ler@centrocultural.org>

Luis E.  Rodriguez  is the Access Technology Coordinator for Centro Cultural of Washington Co., Cornelius, OR and manages the supervision and coordination of the Access Technology and Computer Literacy project.  He has a B.A. in International Relations with a focus on Latin American from Portland State University and is Currently working towards an MBA there.

Kristy Smolenski <smoskall@hotmail.com>

Kristy Smolenski currently teaches online for two colleges, Westwood Online and Barstow College.  She has helped developed online classes for both colleges.  She also teaches ground classes at Riverside Community College.   Her success as a writer ranges from numerous aspects, including winning the President's Award for Literary Excellence twice for her poetry.  She currently freelance edits and ghostwrites for published writers.
