    Jeff is a career educator with over 12 years experience in K-12 schools as well as Education Technology Specialist for the College of Education at Pacific for three years.  He also supports local school districts with inservices geared to educators and students becoming engaged learners.  He volunteers on Helpdesk at Tapped In <http://www.tappedin.org/new> where educators and students alike may create free virtual offices for secure (and logged) chat, file sharing, and threaded discussions.

      Kevin Kawamoto is the author of Media and Society in the Digital Age (Allyn & Bacon, 2003) and has taught digital media and global communication courses at the University of Washington. He was a technology studies manager at The Freedom Forum Media Studies Center in New York City and currently works as a Seattle-based communications consultant, writer and researcher. He is editing a second book called Digital Journalism: Views from the Horizon (Rowman & Littlefield, forthcoming).

Chia-Sui Sun is a PhD Candidate in Cultural Studies and Sociology at the University of Birmingham in the UK. Her recent research interests are in the areas of globalization in relation to cultural flows, language, hybridization, new technology and publishing industries. Her previous research also focused on gender issues and journalism. She has worked as a journalist covering literature, music, drama, folk arts and festivals and has worked as a researcher for the Taiwanese Government, responsible for the allocation of the funding for communication andcultural events.
